Trip to California

Two weeks ago, I flew all the way to Palo Alto, California to shoot five wonderful family clients. The day I left Virginia, it had been raining for 6 days straight – but when I touched down in the San Francisco airport, it was nothing but sunny!

Posted below are two of my favorite bloopers from the formal infant portrait sessions. Gotta love cute babies!

The leaning tower of baby: our attempt to get a 5 month old to sit up!

Disgust face and happy dog: he thinks it’s awesome, she does not!

Foxhaven Farm show at the 12th St. Taphouse through June

Foxhaven Farm is a place just outside the Charlottesville boundary to the west. It is one of the last farms in Albemarle county and its beauty is striking. When visiting UVa., Faulkner stayed there with his daughter.

The photos on display at 12th Street were taken in 2006 and 2007 during the fall and winter months. They have been framed in heart pine wood frames, reclaimed from an old barn near Norfolk, VA by a local woodworker.

The display will be up through the end of June, so if you’re in town forĀ  Look3, the Festival of the Photograph, drop in to see it!

The full gallery, including prints for sale, may be viewed here.
